Karnali govt collects Rs 21.47 million as tourism revenue in FY 2023/24

Karnali: The Karnali Province government has collected Rs 21.475 million as revenue from some tourism destinations of the province in the fiscal year 2023/24.

It collected Rs 4.112 million in revenue from the Rara National Park, Rs 9.090 million from Surkhet Provincial Martyrs Park, Rs 1.150 million from Kakrebihar, and Rs 7.114 million from Bulbule Park.  

Dev Kumari Shahi, chief administrative officer of the Tourism Development Section under the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forests, and Environment, shared that revenue collected from Shey Phoksundo Lake, Dailekh view tower located at Guranse Rural Municipality has not been included in it. 

The Ministry has no record of revenue collected from Kupinde Lake of Salyan, Syarpu Pond of Rukum East, Gidi Pond, Chandannath Temple and Kanakasundari of Jumla, Tripurasundari of Dolpa, Pachal Waterfall of Kalikot, Panchakoshi, Dullu palace, Gadhi area of Dailekh, Limi valley of Humla, Jajarkot Palace, Baraha pond and Jajura pond of Surkhet, she mentioned.
