Baglung picnic van accident casualties identified

Balewa (Baglung): The identity of five persons, including driver, who were killed in a road accident at Jaidi of Jaimini Rural Municipality here today morning, has been established.

A pick-up van (Ga 2 Cha 9247) en route to Baglung Bazaar from Chishti of Jaimini Municipality-8 in Baglung had met with an accident near Byarthala of Jaimini-7, Jaidi.

Police Inspector and Information Officer at the District Police Office, Keshav Thapa said that the pick-up van fell more than 500 meters below the road causing several deaths and injuries.

The deceased were jeep driver, 38-year-old Mahendra Pun, 20-year-old Rashmi Srish, 50-year-old Nandkali Pun, 17-year-old Niraj Srish and 75-year-old Kulprasad Srish of Jaimini-8 Chhisti.

Similarly, 45-year-old Ganga Bahadur Srish of the same place who sustained injuries in various parts of his body in the accident was brought to Dhaulagiri Hospital for treatment.
