Historian Gyanmani Nepal no more

Kathmandu: Noted historian Gyanmani Nepal passed away on Tuesday afternoon at the age of 92.

Suffering from cardiac and kidney-related diseases, Nepal breathed his last during treatment at Manmohan Cardiovascular and Transplant Centre, Maharajgunj. 

The final rites of historian Nepal were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat, as confirmed by Nepal’s younger brother Ekmani Nepal. Gyanmani is survived by two sons. 

Born in 1989 BS in Bhojpur, Nepal is known as an expert and researcher of Nepal’s cultural history. He has penned more than two dozen books, including ‘Nepalnirupan’, ‘Nepal ko Mahabharat’, ‘Pashupatinath ko Darshan’. Nepal was active in research and the study of history even in his old age.
