Goptebhir landslide blocks road

Chitwan: Landslide in Ghoptebhir of Ichhyakamana rural municipality-4 has blocked the road section under the Prithviraj highway. The road remains completely blocked due to the landslide that occurred this morning.

According to Chief District Officer of Chitwan, Indradev Yadav, the landslide took place at 4 am and landslide debris removal work has started. 

Similarly, landslides have occurred in Mauwakhola, Datikhola, Panidhara and other areas in ward no. 3 of the same rural municipality, Yadav said. Roads in the area have also been blocked as a result.

Meanwhile, a section of the Narayangadh-Muglin been caved in due to heavy rain water in a place called Naukilo.
