Four of same family buried in Bajhang landslide found dead

Kathmandu: Four individuals of the same family who were buried in a landslide in Bajhang have been found dead. 

The incident took place on Monday in Tumeda, Ward No. 10 of Bunggal Municipality, where the victims were trapped inside their home as the landslide swept over it.

The deceased have been identified as Kali Dhami, Golki Dhami, Ashika Dhami, and Laxmi Dhami, according to local resident Bharat Mahara. 

Rescue teams comprising police and locals retrieved the bodies from the house at around 7:20 AM.

The landslide, which struck the house with nine members at around 1 AM, left five others—Bira Dhami, Ujjal Dhami, Roshan Dhami, Kamala Dhami, and Shanti Dhami—alive, as villagers rescued them immediately after the incident.
