Motihari-Amlekhgunj petroleum project reaches final stage

Janakpurdham: The second phase of the Motihari-Bara-Amlekhgunj Petroleum Pipeline Project has reached its final stage of completion.  The project is being carried out as a part of Nepal-India cooperation.

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) stated that 90 per cent of the project has been completed.

The Chief of Madhes Province Office of the NOC, Binitmani Upadhyay, said the remaining tasks of the project will be completed in two months adding that two tanks with a capacity of 4,001 kiloliters was prepared and the task of laying the pipeline has reached its final phase.

The Government of Nepal has invested Rs 1.54 billion and the Indian government has invested Rs 600 million for the project.
