Preliminary squad for ACC Women’s Asia Cup announced

Kathmandu, May 23: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 28-member preliminary squad under the captainship of Indu Varma for the ACC Women’s Asia Cup. 

The Asian Cricket Council is organizing the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka from July 19-28. 

Sabnam Rai, Rubina Chhetri, Sita Rana Magar, Khusi Dangol, Bindu Rawal, Kabita Kunwar, Rubi Podar, Laxmi Saud, Yashoda Bista, Kirtika Marasini, Soni Pakhrin, Rajmati Airee, Helisha Gurung and Samjhana Khadka are the squad members.

Similarly, other members are Alisha Khadiya, Kabita Joshi, Apsari Begam, Kajol Shrestha, Sangita Rai, Arati Mahato, Roma Thapa, Sabitri Dhami, Mamata Chaudhary, Karuna Bhandari, Puja Mahato, Asmina Karmacharya and Doli Bhatta.  

Nepal is in Group ‘A’ in the championship. 

Similarly, India, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates are in Group ‘A’ while Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand are in Group ‘B’.
