Nepal-America International Film Festival on June 20-23

Kathmandu:  The ‘Nepal-America International Film Festival (NAIFF)’ will be held in Maryland of the United States of America from June 20-23.  

According to festival coordinator Purna Singh Baraili, the festival aims to connect Nepal-US art, culture, traditions, and knowledge through films.  In the festival, Nepali films of special characters, documentaries, short films, and animations will be screened.

Besides this, films from South Asia, the US, and other parts of the world will be screened.   ‘Gaun Aayeko Bato (A Road Taken to Village)’ directed by Nabin Subba has been selected as an opening film in the festival which will be closed with the screening of ‘The Red Suitcase’ directed by Baraili. 

These two films are expected to highlight the common lifestyle of Nepal and overseas fate being faced by Nepalis.
